THE SERIES
The game marks the 71st meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first contest during the 1974-75 season - a 62-34 Smith victory. Smith leads 42-28 and has won 13 of the last 14 meetings.

LAST MEETING
Smith shot 55.6 percent (40-72) from the field, 40.0 percent (8-20) from three-point range and outrebounded the Lyons 42-16 in a 95-30 win on January 4, 2017. Sophomore Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, Ga./The Lawrenceville School) registered a game-high 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting in 19 minutes of action while senior guard Mandy Castro (San Diego, Calif./Poway) played all 40 minutes, finishing with 12 points, seven assists and two boards.

LAST MHC WIN
Senior forward Amber Legare netted a game-best 24 points and 14 rebounds to lead MHC to a 54-52 victory at Smith on January 28, 2015.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
Mount Holyoke (2-20, 0-14) looks to earn their first NEWMAC win of the season tonight against the Pioneers. MHC hits the hardwood folowing a 68-30 loss to MIT in the teams final regular season road game on Saturday. Senior captain and NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week Xajaah Williams-Flores notched her fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three steals. Earlier in the week, she notched a career-high 19 boards against Norwich University, including 10 on the offensive end. First year guard Kathryn Violette leads the Lyons averaging 8.7 points per game while Williams-Flores is tied for second in the conference with 10.4 rebounds per contest. MHC averages 37.5 points per game and was picked to finish 11th in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith (16-7, 8-6) looks to win their third consecutive game and sweep the season series against Mount Holyoke tonight against the Lyons. Smith is coming off a 61-49 win over Wheaton College Saturday afternoon where Guest-Pritchett recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Guest-Pritchett, who was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Honor Roll this week, is the only player in the NEWMAC to rank in the top-5 in points per game (15.0), rebounds per game (10.4) and field goal percentage (50.2%). Sophomore guard Erin Hanley (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Prepatory) averages 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds per game while Holland leads the team with 2.6 assists. The Pioneers have the league's fourth-highest scoring offense averaging 67.7 points per game and were voted to finish fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
