LAST MEETING
The Pioneers held a 38-32 lead with 6:32 to play in the fourth quarter but a jumper by senior Sabrina Drammis with 37 seconds on the clock and then a pair of free throws by junior Liana Ilutzi helped MIT complete a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat Smith 48-45 on January 23, 2016.

Rosa Drummond (Rye, N.H./Portsmouth) registered a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds as Smith earned a 58-53 win over MIT on January 7, 2014.

SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
MIT (16-4, 9-2) looks for their third consecutive win over the Pioneers Saturday afternoon. The Engineers are coming into Saturday's game after a 69-54 non-conference win over Wesleyan University Tuesday evening. In that game, MIT had five players in double figures led by Taylor V'Dovec's double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kara Holinski ranks fourth in the NEWMAC in points per game (14.6) and 3-PT percentage (41.2) while V'Dovec shoots 53.0 percent from the field (2nd in the conference). MIT averages 67.7 points per game and was picked to finish 4th in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith (16-4, 9-2) looks to knock off another front runner in the NEWMAC Saturday afternoon at MIT. The Pioneers earned a 64-51 over Springfield College Wednesday evening, a game where four student-athletes scored in double figures. Sophomore forward Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, Ga./The Lawrenceville School) ranks in the top-5 of the NEWMAC in points per game (14.4) and rebounds per game (10.6) and has registered nine double-doubles this season. Sophomore guard Erin Hanley (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Prepatory) is scoring 9.7 points per game and is fifth in the conference in field goal percentage (49.3%) while sophomore guard Sydney Koh (Seattle, Wash. /Lakeside) is a threat from deep, connecting on 41.3 percent from three-point range. The Pioneers have the league's third-highest scoring offense, averaging 68.2 points per game, and were voted to finish fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
