GAME 1: BABSON 5 SMITH 4
  • The Pioneers built a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Blokker singled up the middle and advanced to third on first year Makena Wagner (Hilo, Hawaii/Kamehameha Schools Hawaii)'s base knock to right field. Rowan Turner (Kansas City, Kan./Shawnee Mission East)'s single scored Blokker and sophomore Alyssa Pioggia (East Longmeadow, Mass./East Longmeadow)'s double cleared the bases for the 3-0 lead.
  • The teams played three scoreless innings before Snyder's dinger put the Pioneers up 4-0.
  • Babson scored all five of their runs in the sixth, beginning with Moore's single that made it a 4-1 game. Samantha Smith's 2 RBI double trimmed the lead to one run before Ashley Tango's single to right tied the game. The Beavers scored what would prove to be the winning run on Jacqueline Paul's double, scoring Tango.
