SCOUTING SPRINGFIELD
The Pride look for their seventh straight win tonight against the Pioneers. Springfield earned a 12-5 victory over Wheaton on Saturday led by a career-best five points from sophomore attack Allie Goddard. Junior midfielder Ann Mahoney
was impressive for the Pride, as she pulled in seven draw controls, caused five turnovers and had five ground balls. For her outstanding efforts, Mahoney was named the NEWMAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week as
she collected 17 draw controls, eight ground balls, caused five turnovers and registered three points in two games last week. Junior attack Shelby Corsano ranks fourth in the conference in goals (37) and points (47) while Bianca Raniolo is third with 22 assists. Senior netminder Gabby Anderson leads the league with her .513 save percentage and 7.53 goals against average. The Pride were selected to finish first in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
SCOUTING SMITH
The Pioneers face a difficult task this evening against the number one ranked team in the NEWMAC. Smith is coming off a 17-4 loss to Babson College on Saturday. In that game, sophomore
Chloe Harris (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) finished with two goals while sophomore
Katie Christensen (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) totaled six ground balls and three caused turnovers. Harris ranks second in the conference in goals (47), third in assists (22), and leads the NEWMAC with 69 points. Junior goalkeeper
Sarah Price (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) leads the league in saves (144) and is second with a .509 save percentage.
