Junior forward Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, Ga./The Lawrenceville School) poured in 21 points on 10-of-10 shooting as the Smith College basketball team cruised to a 74-50 win over Coast Guard Wednesday evening in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action. With the win, the Pioneers improve to 17-5 overall and 10-3 in conference action, while the Bears drop to 11-11, 5-8.

SMITH HIGHLIGHTS

• Guest-Pritchett grabbed eight rebounds and added one steal to go along with her game-high 21 points. 
• Junior guards Lauren Bondi (Burnaby, BC, Can./Notre Dame Secondary) and Katy McClellan (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) each finished with nine points.
• Senior guard Meghan Holland (Atherton, Calif./Sacred Heart Prepatory) finished with a career-high 10 assists

COAST GUARD HIGHLIGHTS

• Gillian Gerton paced the Bears with 13 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the free throw line and six rebounds.
• Micaela Martinelli totaled 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
• Jill Bray posted seven points, five boards, and four assists.

The Pioneers led from start to finish and held a 16-8 lead after one quarter. Smith would use a 12-1 run in the second quarter to open up a 32-14 with 1:39 left in the first half and the Pioneers led 37-16 at halftime.
