Chloe Harris (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) netted the 100th goal of her career
 to propel the Smith College lacrosse team to a key 15-12 victory over Emerson College in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday afternoon. Prior to the game, the Pioneers honored their seniors:

Julia Hamilton (Williamstown, Mass./Deerfield Academy),
Kathleen Lima (Cheshire, Conn./Northfields Mount Hermon),
Caroline Myran (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends School), Stella Plenk,
Sarah Price (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson), Lizzie Sturtevant.Â
With the win, the Pioneers improve to 7-4 overall, 2-3 in conference and beat Emerson for the first time in program history. The Lions remain winless at 0-10 and 0-4 in the NEWMAC.
SMITH HIGHLIGHTS
- Harris totaled four goals and becomes the 10th student-athlete in program history to reach the 100 career goal milestone.
- Senior Caroline Myran (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends School)Â contributed four goals, four assists, 11 draw controls, and four caused turnovers.
- Junior Emily Biggs (Florence, Mass./Northampton) finished with two goals, one assists, and four ground balls.
- Senior goalkeeper Sarah Price (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) made six saves in the win.
EMERSON HIGHLIGHTS
- Tara Windsor and Jenna Tomsky each scored four goals for the Lions.
- Kristina Modica tallied 20 saves between the goalposts for the Lions.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Myran opened the scoring for Smith with an unassisted tally 3:46 into the game. Emerson responded with goals from Kelli Mark and Tara Windsor just a minute apart to give the visitors a 2-1 lead. Tied at 3-3, the Pioneers rattled off six straight goals for an 8-3 advantage with 4:42 remaining in the half. During that stretch, five different players found the back of the net for Smith. The Lions roared back, scoring three of the game's next four goals to make it a 9-6 Smith lead at halftime.Â
Coming out of the break, Windsor scored two of Emerson's next three goals to tie the game at 9-9. The Pioneers responded as Biggs started a scoring streak of five consecutive goals to take a 14-9 lead that would not be relinquished.
