SCOUTING THE BLUE
Seventh-seeded Wellesley (8-14) enters tonight's quarterfinals on a four-game losing streak with its last win coming on January 30 at Wheaton. The Blue wil be making the program's first trip to the NEWMAC postseason since 2013-14. Caitlin Aguirre is averaging 13.8 points per game and is shooting just 25.9% from the field in February. Wellesley's last postseason victory came against Smith in the 2013 NEWMAC Quarterfinals.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Second-seeded Smith (20-5) enters the postseason with a 10-game winning streak after defeating Wheaton, 79-59, last Saturday. Bondi scored 26 points and Guest-Pritchett added 21 points and 19 rebounds. Bondi leads the NEWMAC in points per game (18.9), three-point percentage (.431), and free throw percentage (.849) and Guest-Pritchett ranks first in the league in rebounds per game (11.7) and second in field goal percentage (.542). The Pioneers are 10-4 at home this year and look to reach the semifinals for the third consecutive season.
