PLYMOUTH, NH - The Smith College volleyball team won a four-set match Friday evening by set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 25-18 and 25-12. The Pioneers improve to 17-7, while the Panthers drop to 14-4.

- After dropping the first set, Smith went up 9-6 in the second on a service ace from Olivia Smith (Mill Valley, CA/Tamalpais)
- The Panthers would come to within one, but the Pioneers secured the second set on a kill by Ava Zollinger (Orlando, FL/Lake Highland Prep)
- Smith used a 4-0 run midway through the third to pull away and take a 2-1 advantage as Abby Hunt (Mandeville, LA/Fontainebleau) closet out the set with back-to-back kills
- The Pioneers left no doubt in the fourth, jumping out to a 13-3 lead
- Smith continued to dominate and Fiona Hegarty (Tustin, CA/Foothill) delivered match point with a kill
- Hunt led the way offensively with 14 kills, while Mia Moscicki (Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) added 13
- Sophia Padilla (Fontana, CA/Saint Lucy's Priory) finished with a career-high 42 assists
- Gabby Beckman (Aurora, CO/Grandview) and Ari Cross (Wauwatosa, WI/Rufus King) combined for 24 digs
