NORTHAMPTON - For the third time this fall, Smith senior Katherine Welsh (St. Paul, MN/Saint Paul Academy) has been named the NEWMAC Diver of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday morning. 

Welsh, who collected honors on Nov. 3 and Nov. 10, continues her outstanding season with two more wins for the Smith swim and dive team. In the Bears' victory over Westfield State, Welsh posted NCAA qualifying scores on both the 1-meter (287.95) and 3-meter (289.45). Smith's seventh win of the year clinches a winning dual meet record for the first time since the 2013-14 season.

The Bears head to Ithaca, NY December 4 - 6 to compete at the Bomber Invitational.
