NORTHAMPTON - Senior Callahan Day (Shady Side, MD/Elizabeth Seton) of the Smith College field hockey team was named to the NFHCA Senior Team as announced by the organization on Thursday morning. Selections are based on nominations submitted by NFHCA member coaches and reviewed by committees composed entirely of NFHCA coach members. Seniors are eligible for selection only once during their collegiate careers.

The Biology major posted a career-best 12 goals and seven assists for 31 points. She scored four game-winning goals this season and started all 18 games for the Bears. Day was named to the NEWMAC All-Conference First Team at the conclusion of the season.
