NORTHAMPTON - Smith College junior guard Felicia Fongemie (Ashford, CT/Marianapolis Prep) was named the NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. 

Fongemie scored a season-high 19 points off the bench and shot 81.8% (9-of-11) from the field as the No. 3 Smith basketball team defeated No. 10 Trinity 72-61 on Sunday in a battle of top-10 teams. Fongemie added three rebounds and one assist as the Bears improved to 5-0 on the year. She leads the team in scoring with 13.8 points per game and is averaging 17.3 points per game in Smith's last three contests. 

No. 3 Smith next takes the court on Wednesday, December 3, when it hosts Williams at 7:00pm.
