NORTHAMPTON - Smith College basketball junior guard Felicia Fongemie (Ashford, CT/Marianapolis Prep) has been named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) first-team weekly honor roll. This recognition is a result of her outstanding performance that contributed to the Bears victory over No. 10 Trinity this past Sunday. 

NEWBA honor Division III women's basketball players in New England who showcase outstanding performances on a weekly basis. 

Fongemie poured in a season-high 19 points off the bench and shot 81.8% (9-of-11) from the field as the No. 3 Smith basketball team defeated No. 10 Trinity 72-61 on Sunday in a battle of top-10 teams. Fongemie added three rebounds and one assist as the Bears improved to 5-0 on the year. She leads the team in scoring with 13.8 points per game and is averaging 17.3 points per game in Smith's last three contests. 

The third-ranked Bears will host Williams College Wednesday at 7:00pm.
