SPRINGFIELD - Junior diver Katherine Welsh (St. Paul, MN/Saint Paul Academy) registered a 13th place finish on the 1-meter board at the NCAA Division III Northeast/North Diving Regional held Friday afternoon at Springfield College's Art Linkletter Natatorium. 

Welsh finished with a score of 402.25 points. Senior Sydney Bluestein of Amherst College placed first with 469.70 points followed by New York University's Issara Schmidt (463.80) and MIT's Fiora Beratahani (427.50). 

Welsh continues competition on Saturday with the 3-meter event, beginning at 12:00pm.
