NEW LONDON, CT - The Smith College lacrosse team shouldered a 17-3 loss to Connecticut College on Wednesday evening from Silfen Field. The Pioneers fall to 3-3 on the year, while the Camels improve to 2-2. 

Top Performers

• Layna Fitzgerald (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral), Danika Lipchitz (Needham, MA/Gann Academy), and Sadie Tschider (Piedmont, CA/Piedmont) each scored for Smith
• Brooke Testa (Pittstown, NJ/Delaware Valley) got the start in goal finishing with five saves in the first half, while Shannon Houtenville (East Windsor, NJ/Highstown) recorded four saves in the second half
• Kate Coughlin scored five goals for the Camels

Game Highlights

• Elizabeth Gill fed Greta Panke in front of the game to make it 1-0 in favor of the home team just 49 seconds into the game
• Lipchitz quickly responded, tying the game just 20 seconds later
• From that point on, the Camels scored 12 straight goals to put the game out of reach
