NORTHAMPTON - Smith College goalkeeper Iseul Park (Ann Arbor, MI/) was named the NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. 

Park posted a shutout in the Bears' 1-0 win over Western New England this past Tuesday and made two saves as Smith defeated the Golden Bears. Park followed that performance with a career-high 15 saves in a 3-2 double overtime loss to Vassar on Saturday. 

For the season, Park has three shutouts with a 1.34 goals against average and .794 save percentage. 

The Defensive Player of the Week marks the first weekly honor for Park.
