NORTHAMPTON - Smith junior guard Hannah Martin (North Andover, MA/North Andover) has been named to the New England Women's Basketball Associatin (NEWBA) weekly honor roll second team after leading the Bears to a pair of wins last week. Smith is currently 24-1 on the year and finished the regular season with an unblemished 11-0 NEWMAC record to secure the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament.

Martin averaged 14 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals in wins over Babson and MIT this past week. She shot 50% from the field and was instrumental in Smith clinching the No. 1 seed. Martin totaled 14 points, eight boards, three assists, and two steals against Babson and followed that with 15 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals at MIT.

Martin and the Bears host Emerson in the NEWMAC Quarterfinals on Wednesday, February 25 at 7:00pm. Smith is chasing a record sixth-straight NEWMAC Championship.
