MARLBOROUGH - The New England Men's and Women's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2026 Rowing major awards and All-Conference honorees on Wednesday. After leading Smith the 2026 Florence Jope Smith Cup and a second place finish at the NEWMAC Championships, head coach
Clare Doyle and her staff were named Co-Coaching Staff of the Year, while
Nadia Grinyuk (Scarborough, ME/Scarborough) earned Rower of the Year honors to headline a group of four Bears on the All-Conference Team.

Graham Marks, Hannah Ondak, and Anne Horton guided Smith to three wins in four races at the championship event. The Second Varsity 8, Third Varsity 8, and Fourth Varsity 8 clocked in the fastest times, while the Varsity 8 finished just two seconds behind Wellesley for second place.
Joining Grinyuk on the All-Conference First Team were
Julia Beyer (Ardmore, Pa./Friends' Central School) and
Kathleen Bacigalupi (Saint Paul, MN/Highland Park). Varsity 8 coxswain
Maddy Beer (Seattle, WA/Seattle Preparatory School) was an All-Conference Second Team selection.
The Florence Jope Smith Cup is awarded annually to the school with the highest number of points from the overall results at the NEWMAC Championship.
