May 11, 2026

NORTHAMPTON - Smith College graduate assistant swim and dive coach Katt Withers was selected to attend the 2026 NCAA Women Coaches Academy Programs, presented by WeCoach. The program will take place May 18-20 in Denver, Colorado.

"We are very excited for and proud of coach Katt," said head coach Caleb Potvin. "She has earned this opportunity and is one our sport's most promising up and coming coaches. The opportunity for coach Katt to learn from and engage with so many other incredible women coaches is one we know will make a positive impact on her career and on our team."

This year, 122 women coaches will participate, including 98 in the NCAA WCA and 24 in A2.0. Participants represent 20 sports and a broad range of institutions, including NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, as well as the NAIA, 3C2A, NJCAA, and others. Attendees include head  and assistant coaches, administrators, graduate assistants, and strength coaches.

A highlight of this year's Academies will be the presentation of the 2025-26 Lifetime Achievement wards, presetned by Jostens, honoring five women coaches for their lasting impact on the profession: Kathy Aspaas, Valorie Kondos Field, Dr. Tina Sloan Green, Billie Jean King, Lorene Ramsey, and Barbara Stevens.
