NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College swimming and diving team continues the young season with a dual meet at Springfield College on Tuesday night.
The Pride: Springfield fell in a close dual meet to MIT on Saturday.  Jennifer Thompson led the way placing first in both the one-meter and three-meter, and in the 1000 freestyle, Ashleigh Monroe also recorded a win.Â
The Pioneers: Smith won two of three dual meets in a quadrangular at WPI on Saturday. Â Smith defeated Babson and Brandeis, thanks to wins on the 1-meter and 3-meter board from
Cecelia Arrison (Weathersfield, Vt./Stevens (N.H.)), and
Olivia Bannon (Amherst, Mass./Amherst) in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Â
Emily Lane (Centennial, Colo./Kent Denver School) also recorded a win in the 1,000 freestyle.
Next Up: Smith returns home for a dual meet against Elms College on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
