THE SERIES
The Pioneers and WPI will meet for the 22nd time on Tuesday evening in a series that began in 1995 - a 4-1 Smith win. The Pioneers lead 16-2-3.

LAST MEETING
GiGi Ross (Colt's Neck, N.J./Colt's Neck) scored 5:52 into the second overtime to give Smith a 1-0 NEWMAC win over WPI on October 20, 2015. 

LAST WPI WIN
Hailey Taylor's 39th minute goal was enough to lift WPI to a 1-0 win over Smith College in the regular season finale for both teams on October 30, 2010.

SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
WPI enters tonight's contest as winners of four straight after their 1-0 victory over Wellesley Saturday afternoon. In that game, junior Sophie Gomarlo scored the only goal of the game 18:09 into the second half and Gabi Hoops made seven saves, six in the second half, to record her third-consecutive shutout and eighth of the season. Senior forward Erin Bracken leads the offense with six goals, one assist for 13 points. Hoops owns a 0.36 goals against average and .894 save percentage. The Engineers average 1.71 goals per game and were picked to finish fifth in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches Poll.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
After their 7-2 loss to MIT Saturday, Smith looks for their first conference win since September 17th. Against MIT, Seri Park (Cresskill, N.J./Cresskill) and Emily Smith (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) each scored for the Pioneers. Smith leads the team with eight goals and four assists for 20 points followed by junior forward Jordan Isaacs (Weston, Conn./Weston), who has seven goals and five assists. Isaacs and Smith rank in the top five in the NEWMAC in points, goals and assists. Goalkeepers Shelby Hall (West Springfield, Mass./West Springfield) (0.90 gaa/.826 save pct) and Camryn Biasin (Lee, Mass./Berkshire) (1.65 gaa/.769 save pct) have been solid in net throughout the season. Smith leads the NEWMAC averaging 3.07 goals per game and were selected to finish sixth in the Preseason Coaches Poll.
