NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - Senior CeCe Arrison went out on a high note as she broke an 11-year old school record, when she posted a score of 300.10 on the 1-meter board in the Pioneers home meet against Mount Holyoke. The previous school record was set in 2005 by Shanti Freitas with her score of 292.20.
RESULTSMount Holyoke won the meet, 157-142, and improves to 8-2 on the season while Smith drops to 4-4 in dual meets.
In addition to Arrison's record-breaking performance on the 1-meter, she amassed 296.45 points, good for first place on the 3-meter. Also earning victories was
Claire Dudek (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:20.08) and
Desi Stoyanova (Plovdiv, Bulgaria/Plovdiv Language School) in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.09). Dudek also finished second in the 500-yard free (5:32.32) while Stoyanova was the runner up in the 200-yard butterfly (2:17.83) and the 200-yard IM (2:20.35).
Hannah Francis (Chicago, Ill./Walter Payton Prep) placed second in the 200-yard breast (2:37.94) and 100-yard breast (1:13.36).
The divers had a great day as they went 1-2-3 on the both the 1 and 3-meters. Elly Stone earned second place finishes on both boards while
Anna Partridge (Seattle, Wash./Mercer Island) came in third.
Abby Bergman (Culver City, Calif./Vistamar) swam to a trio of third place finishes in the 200-yard free (2:15.53), the 100-yard butterfly (1:07.18) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:22.50)

Madeleine Meadows-McDonnell (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central), Francis, Stoyanova and
Meredith Millman (Syosset, N.Y./Jerich) were the runner up with a time of (2:00.54) while Smith's B team came in third (2:03.49). Also touching the wall in second was the 400-yard free relay team of Dudek, Meadows-McDonnell,
Abby Onos (South Portland, Maine/South Portland) and Millman.

The Pioneers now focus on the NEWMAC Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by MIT on February 18-21.
