Boston, MA - On Saturday afternoon, the Smith College Track & Field team showcased their talent at a highly competitive meet featuring 27 colleges. With numerous standout performances and personal records (PRs), the Pioneers set an impressive tone for the season.
Head Coach Jack Wood reflected on the team's performance, saying, "This was a large and very competitive meet, with 27 colleges competing. We had many new personal records and other encouraging results for so early in the season."

Highlight Performances

Pria Parker (Hingham, MA/Hingham) dominated the Mile, winning the event with a time of 5:02.07, which ranks her as the #2 performer in New England Division III.

Sofia Jurusz (Wildwood Crest, NJ/Middle Township) delivered an incredible performance in the 800m, setting a new indoor PR by over four seconds to finish fourth with a time of 2:27.05.

In her collegiate debut, Amelia Dion (Burlington, VT) placed seventh in the 800m, clocking an impressive 2:29.27.

Lena Baker (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit North) showed significant progress in the 200m, improving her indoor PR by over a second to finish 14th with a time of 27.54.
