NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College softball team was limited to four hits in a 13-0 loss to Trinity College (Conn.) on Wednesday afternoon.

Chelsie Biluck (Delran, N.J./Delran) struck out to end the inning.
Trinity starter Kristen Anderson then set down 13 conscutive Pioneers, while the Bantams got all the runs they would need on a 2-RBI single by Amelia Mostovoy in the second, and made it 3-0 when Christina Galese eached on an error and scored. A three run homer from Abigail Ostrom increased the lead to 6-0 in the fifth, and the Bantams put the game out of reach by sending 12 batters to the plate in the seventh, scoring seven runs.
Kayla Kiers (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick) struck out seven in a complete game effort in the circle for Smith. Anderson struck out five and allowed four hits.
Smith will resume NEWMAC play when they host Wellesley College in a doubleheader on Friday, April 8 at 3 p.m. Trinity will hit the road to play a three game series with Bates College, starting on Friday.
