NORTHAMPTON - Smith College softball head coach Emily Lopez has announced the addition of Emma LaBreck as assistant coach on Thursday morning. LaBreck will be pursuing her masters degree in exercise and sport studies over the next two years. 

"We are excited to welcome Emma LaBreck to our coaching staff," said head Lopez. "Her experience in the head coaching role will be an asset to all areas of our program, both behind the scenes and on the field. I look forward to Emma building relationships with our student-athletes and sharing her knowledge and experience. She's passionate about developing her coaching and I'm thrilled to have her on staff."

LaBreck spent the last year as the head coach at Mitchell College. She was a four-year student-athlete at Mitchell, graduating with a health science degree in 2025.
