NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--After a 24 hour delay, NEWMAC play continues for the Smith College softball team (2-10, 0-2 NEWMAC), when the Pioneers host their conference home opener against Wheaton College (9-11, 3-1 NEWMAC) on Sunday for a doubleheader.

swept a double header 18-0, and 10-2, on April 2, 2011.
Last Smith Win: Sarah Goodman (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) went
2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI as Smith earned a split with the Lyons with a 9-0 win on April 11, 2009.
Smith Overview: Smith opened NEWMAC play with a pair of losses (9-1, 13-1) to the US Coast Guard Academy.
Sarah Goodman (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) was a combined 3-for-4 with a double and a run over the two games.
Wheaton Overview: The Lyons have made a good start to the NEWMAC portion of their schedule, sweeping a doubleheader from Coast Guard and earning a split with Babson College on Friday afternoon. A 7-6, extra inning win in the second game of the doubleheader snapped a three game losing skid.
Smith Player to Watch: Catherine Tocci (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) is currently on a three game hitting streak, and has reached base at least twice in two of the last three games.
Wheaton Player to Watch: Jenna Rocha is hitting .317 with three homers and nine RBI this year.
Did you know? While Smith has four players from west of the Mississippi River, Wheaton has none - the Lyons only boast two players from outside New England.
