NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The final home date of the season commences at 3 p.m. when the Smith College softball team (4-22, 1-11 NEWMAC) plays host to Clark University (14-16, 4-10 NEWMAC).
Last Meeting: The Cougars took a doubleheader by scores of 7-1 and 7-0 on March 25, 2011, to open the league season.
Last Smith Win: Despite being out hit 9-6 and committing three errors, Smith edged Clark 5-3 in extra innings on April 14, 2008. Megan Keifer hit a walk-off two run homerun in the bottom of the eighth for a dramatic Smith win.
Smith Overview: The Pioneers will be trying to snap a seven game losing skid after losing a tough doubleheader to MIT on Tuesday afternoon. In game one, Smith led until the bottom of the sixth, then scored first in the top half of the eighth, but MIT scored twice in the bottom half to take the win.
Clark Overview: The Cougars have won three of six, splitting doubleheaders with league opponents MIT and Wellesley and non-conference for Roger Williams on Tuesday. These is the final league games of the season for the Cougars.

Clark Player to Watch: Pitcher Nicole Meuse is 8-7 this year with 68 strikeouts and a 3.85 ERA.
