NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Smith College outfielder Ally Knutson (Green Bay, WI/Bay Port) has been named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Softball First Team All-Conference, the league office announced.

The junior earned the recognition following a standout 2026 campaign in which she paced the Bears in nearly every major offensive category and rewrote the program's single-season doubles record.

Knutson served as Smith's offensive engine from the leadoff through the heart of the order, leading the Bears with a .422 batting average, 57 hits, 21 doubles, 26 RBI, a .607 slugging percentage and a 1.055 OPS across 37 starts. Her 21 two-baggers established a new Smith College single-season program record for doubles.

The junior was even more productive against conference competition, hitting .429 with 12 doubles and 30 hits in 20 NEWMAC contests. Knutson also added 30 runs scored, two triples and six stolen bases on the season, while turning in a reliable defensive campaign with a .985 fielding percentage in the outfield.

Smith concluded the 2026 season with a 16-21 overall record and an 8-12 mark in NEWMAC play.
