THE SERIES
Smith and Framingham State will meet for the fourth time in a series that began in 2013. 

LAST MEETING
Ella Prince (New York, N.Y./Rudolf Steiner) and Mei-Li Smith (Cypress, Calif./Cypress) each finished with seven kills but the Rams claimed a 3-0 decision on October 17, 2015. 

LAST SMITH WIN
The Pioneers swept the Rams in the first round of the ECAC Tournament on November 13, 2013. Rosa Drummond went over 400 kills for the season with a 15 kill, six dig, effort, while Paige Sarlandt hit .393 with 13 kills and three solo blocks.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
Framingham State University split a pair of matches Saturday with MIT and Wheaton. The Rams defeated Wheaton College 3-1, before falling to the host Engineers 3-0. Senior right side Alycia Rackliffe was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Player of the Week for the third straight week to start the 2016 season on September 28. She also has been named as the MASCAC's volleyball player of the week in each of the first four weeks of the season. Rackliffe averages 15.1 kills, 7.00 digs and 2.8 blocks with a .241 hitting percentage so far this season. 

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
The Smith volleyball team snapped an eight game losing streak and split a non-conference tri-match with Western New England and Eastern Connecticut Saturday. In their 3-1 win over WNE, first-year outside hitter Kimani Freeman (Newark, N.J./Montclair Kimberly Academy) led the way with 14 kills, six digs and four service aces while sophomore setter Maca Rojas (Santiago, Chile/Liceo No. 1 Javiera Carrera) tied her career high with 31 assists. Freeman and Rojas rank No. 1 and 3 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) in service aces per set.
