Smith College Scout: Behind 25 hits, including six off the bat of first-year
Emma Kraus (Wakefield, Mass./Wakefield), the Pioneers earned their first two victories of the 2016 season with a sweep of Lasell and Fitchburg State Sunday afternoon. Senior
Tori Brown (New Market, Md./Linganore) roped a two-out double down the left-field line in the 4th inning against Lasell for her 100th career hit. Pitchers

Rowan Turner (Prairie Village, Kan./Shawnee Mission East) each got their first wins of the 2016 season. Kraus is batting .538 with a double and a triple, and leads the Pioneers with seven hits and seven RBI.

Scout: The Bobcats (5-3), from the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC), finished with a 24-12 record last season and the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament. FSU is under the guidance of 11th year head coach Wes Landrum. Frostburg returns their top-three hitters from 2015 as well as CAC Rookie of the Year Allison Short.

Scout: The Hawks (0-2), who hail from the New England Collegiate Conference, had a 20-15 record last season, with a 13-5 mark in league play made it to the championship game of their conference tournament in 2015. Becker earned the fifth seed in the ECAC New England Tournament before being knocked out in the opening game by Suffolk. The Hawks return seniors Jessica Wheelahan and Jaclyn Orangio who combined for 81 hits, 57 runs and 35 RBI in 2015. Becker is led by fourth-year head coach Dick Hurley.
