SERIES HISTORY
vs. Western New England
Smith and WNEU will meet for the 13th time in a series that dates back to 1983. The Pioneers are 5-7 against the Golden Bears.

vs. Eastern Connecticut State
Smith and ECSU will meet for the 40th consecutive season in a series that began in 1980. The Warriors lead 25-15.

SCOUTING WESTERN NEW ENGLAND
The Golden Bears are coming off a 3-0 loss to Roger Williams Tuesday evening. Junior middle hitter Carly Skibinski hit a team-best .455 with a match-high 12 kills and just two errors in 22 attempts. Senior setter Jenna Leuck recorded 30 assists and a team-high 15 digs while junior libero Alona Kornberg added 13 digs to go with three service aces. Skibinski, an All-CCC second team selection last season after earning honorable mention recognition as a freshman, ranked in the top-10 in the CCC in kills per set (2.55, T-8th), hitting percentage (.234, 6th) and blocks per set (0.63, 6th) in 2015.

SCOUTING EASTERN CONNECTICUT STATE
The Warriors enter competition on a three game losing streak after their 3-0 defeat to Connecticut College. In that match, senior Adrianna Mihalek led Eastern with eight kills and attacked at .200 but no other player managed more than four kills. Mihalek also served two service aces and topped the team with seven digs. Sophomore Leah Sopneski had 11 assists and senior Nina Zimmitti added five digs. This year's club features a team-record seven seniors and returns every key play but one in its quest to win an eighth Little East Conference championship and qualify for a 17th NCAA tournament.

SCOUTING SMITH
The Pioneers enter Saturday's tri-match looking to rebound from a 3-1 loss to Daniel Webster on Thursday. Smith won it's first set since September 10th when the Pioneers swept Albertus Magnus. Junior Elizabeth Peay (Lebanon, Conn./Lyman Memorial) led the Pioneers with 13 kills followed by Kimani Freeman (Newark, N.J./Montclair Kimberly Academy)'s 11 and six from sophomore Ella Prince (New York, N.Y./Rudolf Steiner). Sophomore setter Maca Rojas (Santiago, Chile/Liceo No. 1 Javiera Carrera) recorded a career-high 31 assists while senior libero Julie Voorhes (Ramona, Calif./Ramona) finished with 37 digs.
