Ann Miller ’96 embodies the true meaning of a scholar-athlete. A standout on the basketball court and in the classroom, Ann transferred to Smith from Central Arizona College and quickly became a trusted leader and cornerstone of the basketball program. Known for her intelligence, vision, and court presence, she was both a dynamic playmaker and a consistent scoring threat—earning her a spot in the prestigious 1,000 Point Club.

A two-time NEWMAC All-Conference selection, Miller earned All-New England recognition, and was named the college’s nominee for NCAA Woman Athlete of the Year. From assists to steals to scoring, Ann Miller’s name appears across the Smith record books—a reflection of her versatility and dominance as a player. In 1996, she helped lead the team to a then school-record 19-win season and an ECAC Tournament appearance.

Off the court, Miller’s academic excellence was equally remarkable. She was awarded the prestigious Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship—given to a top scholar-athlete pursuing law—and went on to graduate second in her class from the University of Arizona Law School. Her career trajectory continued to soar: she joined Nike in 2007, ultimately serving as Chief Legal Officer, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer before being named Executive Vice President of Global Sports Marketing in 2024.
