Tammy was the first athlete to break 1000 points when she set a career scoring record of 1399 in her senior year. A true pioneer, Tammy was Smith’s first All-American and graduated as the school record holder in 11 different categories, in addition to earning All-New England and Seven Sisters Most Valuable Player recognition. During her career, Smith basketball were two-time Seven Sisters Champions, and in 1983 placed second in the Northeast Intercollegiate Athletic Conference before making its first appearance in the Massachusetts State Tournament. At the time of her induction to the Smith Athletics Hall of Fame, Tammy ranked fourth all-time in scoring.
